Hydrangea (literally translated = Water) do drink from the flower as well as from the stem. If you ever find them wilting on you before their time, put their heads in lukewarm water for a few minutes, then re-cut them & put them in warm water.They should perk right up! Always remove all the foliage too....and use floral preservative. If you are picking them from your garden pick at dusk or first thing in the morning.
